SRSD Football team WON again!!

Congratz to the teachers + parents football team. They won another match and this time it was against the Department of Schools. Good play everyone!!

1. NDMC, National Disaster Management Centre (Pusat Pengurusan Bencana Alam) akan mengadakan kursus Community-Based Disaster Risk Management (CBDRM) -Pengurusan Risiko Bencana di Peringkat Masyarakat, Insya Allah pada 14 dan 15 Mei 2012 di Dewan Sekolah Rendah Saba Darat. Program dibukakan khusus bagi penduduk Mukim Saba sahaja. Borang boleh diperolehi daripada Ketua Kampong Saba Darat 'B', Tuan Haji Mayalin. Tarikh tutup mengembalikan borang kepada Ketua Kampung ialah pada 05 Mei 2012. Bagi yang bersekolah (Sekolah Menengah)/ Bekerja bolehlah meminta surat kelonggaran bersekolah/bekerja daripada NDMC bagi hari-hari berkenaan. Sekian. Shooting for Thai Teachers TV show

1. THE SHOOTING FOR THAI TEACHERS TV 

   SRSD was selected to represent primary schools in water village, Brunei Darussalam for the Thai Teachers Tv program titled "I'm in ASEAN". It's the adventure of two guys, a Thai celebrity - Gift Watana and a Thai teacher, Mr Zulkifli (btw he is a muslim and can speak a little of malay language) from southern part of Thailand.They traveled to countries in ASEAN to find out about teachers. They tried to teach the children the way we taught them and interviewed many teachers how they were inspired to become a teacher. They also asked on how can a teacher affect the students future career undertaking. High Representative of EU, Baroness Catherine Ashton Visited SR Saba Darat

26th April 2012 - Sekolah Rendah Saba Darat was fortunate for the visit by the Baroness Catherine Ashton, the High Representatives of the European Union for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy (HR) who is the main co-ordinator and representative of the Common Foreign and Security Policy (CFSP) within the European Union (EU) with the others, David O'Sullivan - Chief Operating Officer and a member of European External Action Service (EEAS), Julian Wilson, Ambassador EU and Maja Kostancic. They were very friendly and excited being in the school in the middle of Brunei river... 


Also present to welcome the EU delegates were Deputy Permanent Secretary (core education) of the Ministry of Education- Tuan Haji Suhaila bin Hj Abd Karim, Senior Special Duties Officer-Tuan Hj Azis bin Hj Nayan, Assistant Director of Primary Section, Tuan Haji Zulkifli bin Hj Ladis and Senior Supervisor of Brunei 1 zone, Tuan Haji Awang@Majid bin Hj Abd Ghani. 

PELANCARAN GLOBAL ACTION WEEK OLEH SIR JIM ROSE DI SEKOLAH RENDAH SABA DARAT

GLOBAL ACTION WEEK telah dilancarkan di Sekolah Rendah Saba Darat pada 23 April 2012, hari Isnin, Jam 8.30 pagi oleh Sir Jim Rose, President of the UK National Foundation for Educational Research (NFER) and Chairman of CfBT's Education Committee yang telah mengadakan lawatan ke Sekolah ini pada hari berkenaan.  Aktiviti-aktiviti telah dirancang oleh guru-guru pra sekolah iaitu Cikgu Hjh Rosnah binti Hj Basar dan Cikgu Siti Rosaimah binti Hj Zainal.  The slogan of GAW this year is "Rights from the Start".

Sir Jim Rose memberikan ucapan dan seterusnya merasmikan GAW.

KEJOHANAN OLAHRAGA SEKOLAH-SEKOLAH RENDAH ZON BRUNEI 1

Kejohanan telah diadakan pada 22 April 2012 di Padang Kebajikan Berakas berdekatan dengan Times Square.  Sebanyak 16 buah sekolah rendah kerajaan dan swasta menyertai kejohanan ini.  Cuaca pada waktu itu, hujan lebat di sebelah pagi dan beransur-ansur reda di sebelah petang.
